AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to reporting  of
  illegal behavior by certain railroad companies

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The public authorities law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new
section 1269-h to read as follows:
  S 1269-H. REPORTING OF ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR BY CERTAIN RAILROAD COMPANIES.
THE METROPOLITAN TRANSIT AUTHORITY SHALL ISSUE A BI-ANNUAL REPORT TO THE
LEGISLATURE  AND GOVERNOR THAT WILL DETAIL THE EXISTENCE OF ANY BEHAVIOR
WHICH MAY CONSTITUTE VIOLATIONS OF STATE LAW THAT ARE COMMITTED  BY  THE
NEW YORK AND ATLANTIC RAILWAY, OR CSX RAILROAD CORPORATION, INC.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
