S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 10710 I N A S S E M B L Y June 15, 2012 ___________ Introduced by COMMITTEE ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. Cymbrowitz, Brook-Krasny) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Cities AN ACT authorizing New York city to construct a bike path THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any conflicting provisions of article 34 of the environmental conservation law to the contrary, New York city shall have authority to construct a bike path and/or exercise equipment, between Brighton 14th street and Sea Gate to the west, to lie between the Riegelmann Boardwalk and the water, provided, however, that the bike path shall be within 250 feet of the Riegelmann Boardwalk. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD16180-01-2
