Directs the commissioner of motor vehicles, in conjunction with the office of court administration, shall redesign the uniform traffic tickets; such new design shall include, but not be limited, increasing the clarity of such ticket and providing clearly on the front of such ticket, the cancellation of the court appearance where a fine is paid prior to the date of such court appearance.

AN ACT to direct the commissioner of motor vehicles, in conjunction with
  the office of court administration to  redesign  the  uniform  traffic
  tickets

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
the commissioner of motor vehicles, in conjunction with  the  office  of
court  administration,  shall redesign the uniform traffic tickets. Such
new design shall include, but not be limited to, increasing the  clarity
of  such  ticket  and providing clearly on the front of such ticket, the
cancellation of the court appearance where a fine is paid prior  to  the
date of such court appearance.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
it shall have become a law; provided, however, that effective immediate-
ly,  the  addition,  amendment  and/or  repeal of any rule or regulation
necessary for the implementation of this act on its effective  date  are
authorized  and  directed  to  be  made  and completed on or before such
effective date.
