AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to exempting commuter
  colleges from the requirement of maintaining meningococcal  meningitis
  records

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1.  Subdivision 1 of section 2167 of the public health law  is
amended by adding a new paragraph d to read as follows:
  D.  THE  TERM  "COMMUTER COLLEGE" MEANS ANY TWO-YEAR COMMUNITY COLLEGE
NOT HAVING ANY STUDENT HOUSING.
  S 2. Section 2167 of the public health law is amended by adding a  new
subdivision 7 to read as follows:
  7.  THIS  SECTION  SHALL  NOT APPLY TO COMMUTER COLLEGES AS DEFINED IN
SUBDIVISION ONE OF THIS SECTION.
  S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
