AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to asbestos notification fees

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Section  904  of the labor law is amended by adding a new
subdivision 5 to read as follows:
  5. ANY CONTRACTOR WHO IS EMPLOYED BY THE CITY OF BUFFALO FOR THE DEMO-
LITION OF A  BUILDING  THAT  CONTAINS  ASBESTOS,  INCLUDING  INDEPENDENT
CONTRACTORS,  SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE ASBESTOS NOTIFICATION FEE
ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO SUBDIVISION TWO OF THIS SECTION.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
