J. MILLER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Children and Families AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to requiring notification by daycare providers to localities of their daycare oper- ation within thirty days of licensure THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 12 of section 390 of the social services law is amended by adding a new paragraph (c) to read as follows: (C) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY INCONSISTENT PROVISION OF LAW, A MUNICIPALITY, UPON ADOPTION OF A LOCAL ORDINANCE, MAY REQUIRE DAYCARE PROVIDERS TO NOTIFY THE LOCALITY OF THEIR OPERATION NO LATER THAN THIRTY DAYS FROM THE DATE OF LICENSURE BY THE OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES.
