ABBATE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to claims against school districts and certain state supported schools THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3813 of the education law is amended by adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows: 5. NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY HEREINBEFORE CONTAINED IN THIS SECTION, NO CLAIMS AGAINST ANY ENTITY SPECIFIED IN SUBDIVISION ONE OF THIS SECTION WHICH ARISE OUT OF OR ARE THE PRODUCT OF MATTERS WITHIN THE PURVIEW OF ARTICLE FOURTEEN OF THE CIVIL SERVICE LAW, OR WHICH ARISE OUT OF THE EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ANY EMPLOYEE OR FORMER EMPLOYEE AND ANY OF THE PARTIES NAMED IN THIS SECTION SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall be deemed to have been in full force and effect on and after January 1, 1994.
