ABBATE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to amend the civil service law, in relation to exclusivity of relief for strike violations THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The civil service law is amended by adding a new section 211-a to read as follows: S 211-A. EXCLUSIVITY OF RELIEF. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS TWO HUNDRED TEN AND TWO HUNDRED ELEVEN OF THIS ARTICLE SHALL CONSTITUTE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES FOR REDRESS OF ANY VIOLATION OF SUBDIVISION ONE OF SECTION TWO HUNDRED TEN OF THIS ARTICLE, AND NO OTHER OR ADDITIONAL PENALTIES OR DAMAGES SHALL BE ASSESSED FOR ANY SUCH VIOLATION. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD09080-01-1
