OAKS -- Multi-Sponsored by -- M. of A. BURLING, CROUCH, FINCH, KOLB, McDONOUGH, J. MILLER, SALADINO -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to requiring 24 hour use of lighted head lamps by tractor trailers THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 375 of the vehicle and traffic law is amended by adding a new paragraph (e) to read as follows: (E) EVERY TRACTOR AS DEFINED IN SECTION ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE-A OF THIS CHAPTER, DRIVEN UPON A PUBLIC HIGHWAY AT ANY TIME, SHALL DISPLAY ITS HEAD LAMPS, AS DEFINED IN SUBPARAGRAPH ONE OF PARAGRAPH (A) OF THIS SUBDIVISION, TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD04297-01-1
