DINOWITZ -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Aging AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to the establishment of a home visitation program for elderly and invalid victims of violent crime THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 9 of section 623 of the executive law, as amended by section 8 of part A-1 of chapter 56 of the laws of 2010, is amended to read as follows: 9. To establish and maintain a special investigative unit to expedite processing of claims by senior citizens and special emergency situ- ations, and to promote, IN CONSULTATION WITH THE OFFICE FOR THE AGING, the establishment of a volunteer program of home visitation to elderly and invalid victims of violent crime. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD08414-01-1
