AN ACT to amend the  not-for-profit  corporation  law,  in  relation  to
  certificates of incorporation

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subparagraph 4 of paragraph (a) of section 402 of the  not-
for-profit  corporation  law,  as  amended by chapter 679 of the laws of
1985, is amended to read as follows:
  (4) [In the case of a Type A, Type B, or Type C corporation, the]  THE
names  and [addresses] CITY AND STATE OF RESIDENCE of the initial direc-
tors. [In the case of a Type D corporation, the names and  addresses  of
the initial directors, if any, may but need not be set forth.]
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
