AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating  the  Scaja-
  quada pedestrian bridge as the "9/11 Memorial Bridge"

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section  256  to
read as follows:
  S  256.  SCAJAQUADA  PEDESTRIAN  BRIDGE  TO BE DESIGNATED AS THE "9/11
MEMORIAL BRIDGE". THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE THAT SPANS NEW YORK STATE  ROUTE
198, KNOWN AS THE SCAJAQUADA EXPRESSWAY, FROM NOTTINGHAM TERRACE TO HOYT
LAKE  IN  DELAWARE PARK IN THE CITY OF BUFFALO, COUNTY OF ERIE, SHALL BE
DESIGNATED AND KNOWN AS THE "9/11 MEMORIAL BRIDGE".
  S 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the  instal-
lation  and  maintenance  of  adequate signing as designated pursuant to
section one of this act.
  S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
