  printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation

AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation  to  prohibiting
  the imposition of a toll on intra-borough bridges

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 553 of the public authorities  law  is  amended  by
adding a new subdivision 12-a to read as follows:
  12-A.  NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, THE AUTHORITY SHALL
NOT IMPOSE A TOLL OR FEE FOR THE USE OF ANY INTRA-BOROUGH BRIDGE.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth  day  after  it  shall
have become a law.
