  printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation

AN ACT  to  amend  the  public  authorities  law,  in  relation  to  the
  construction of elevators at all New York city elevated stations

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1.  Section 1204 of the public authorities law is  amended  by
adding a new subdivision 20 to read as follows:
  20.    TO  CONSTRUCT ELEVATORS AT ALL ELEVATED STATIONS IN THE CITY OF
NEW YORK FROM GROUND LEVEL TO THE STATION PLATFORM FOR ELDERLY AND HAND-
ICAPPED PERSONS.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the first of January in the  second
year next succeeding the year in which it shall have become a law.
