BILL NUMBER:S3055 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to the residential parking system in the village of Tuckahoe in the county of Westchester PURPOSE: Relates to the description of the bounded area for which the residential parking permit system in the village of Tuckahoe, county of Westchester, may be established. It amends the 1998 law which created a parking permit area to discourage train commuters from using the limited residential off street parking. In so amending, it expands the boundary from the previous northerly corporate boundary between the Village of Tuckahoe and the town of Eastchester now to Fisher Avenue. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Amends subdivision 2 of section 1640-g of the vehicle and traffic law as added by chapter 239 of the laws of 1998. JUSTIFICATION: The village of Tuckahoe has requested this legislation. It would allow the village to expand a residential parking permits system first instituted in 1998. KLEIN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to the residen- tial parking system in the village of Tuckahoe in the county of West- chester THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 1640-g of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by chapter 239 of the laws of 1998, is amended to read as follows: 2. Such residential parking permit system may only be established within that area bounded by the following: (a) the southerly corporate boundary between the village of Tuckahoe and the village of Bronxville to Midland Avenue; (b) Midland Avenue to its intersection with Winter Hill Road; (c) Winter Hill Road from its intersection with Midland Avenue to its intersection with Main Street; (d) Marbledale Road from its intersection with Main Street to a point where it intersects with [the northerly corporate boundary between the village of Tuckahoe and the town of Eastchester] FISHER AVENUE; (e) FISHER AVENUE TO THE EASTERLY CORPORATE BOUNDARY BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF TUCKAHOE AND THE TOWN OF EASTCHESTER; (F) THE EASTERLY CORPORATE BOUNDARY BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF TUCKAHOE AND THE TOWN OF EASTCHESTER TO THE NORTHERLY CORPORATE BOUNDARY BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF TUCKAHOE AND THE TOWN OF EASTCHESTER; (G) the northerly corporate boundary between the village of Tuckahoe and the town of Eastchester to the westerly corporate boundary between the village of Tuckahoe and the city of Yonkers; and [(f)] (H) the westerly corporate boundary between the village of Tuck- ahoe and the city of Yonkers to the southerly corporate boundary between the village of Tuckahoe and the village of Bronxville. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
