An act
to amend the parks, recreation and
historic preservation law, in
relation to providing free golf for veterans at state park
golf courses

PURPOSE:
Provides free golf for veterans at public golf courses.

SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
The Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Law is amended by
adding a new section 13.20 which would provide free golf at public
golf courses for any person who is a united States war veteran who
served in a time of war.

JUSTIFICATION:
New York State currently has 27 State park golf courses. Under Parks,

This bill would grant all veterans who served in a time of war the
privilege of free golf at state golf courses. Extending this courtesy
to all veterans would be an act of gratitude for the service they
have provided to our country. Additionally, this act would serve as
recognition of the sacrifice veterans made of a personal past time
while serving.
