AN  ACT  to  amend  the  administrative code of the city of New York, in
  relation to requiring the New York city police department  to  release
  an  annual  report  disclosing the racial, ethnic and gender makeup of
  the police force to the division of criminal justice services

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Section  14-150 of the administrative code of the city of
New York is amended by adding a new subdivision d to read as follows:
  D. THE NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT SHALL SUBMIT TO THE DIVISION OF
CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES, BY DECEMBER THIRTY-FIRST  OF  EACH  YEAR,  AN
ANNUAL  REPORT  DETAILING  THE  RACIAL,  ETHNIC AND GENDER MAKEUP OF THE
POLICE FORCE. SUCH REPORT SHALL BE  MAINTAINED  AND  TRANSMITTED  IN  AN
ELECTRONIC  FORMAT  TO THE DIVISION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES, OR ITS
SUCCESSOR AGENCY.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
