AN ACT to amend chapter 654 of the laws of 1927, relating to joint water
  works systems, in relation to compensation  paid  to  members  of  the
  board of trustees of the Westchester joint water works

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision 7 of section 3 of chapter 654 of   the laws  of
1927,  relating  to joint water works systems, as amended by chapter 232
of the laws of 2006, is amended to read as follows:
  7. Each member of the board of trustees shall be entitled  to  receive
the sum of ten dollars as compensation for his OR HER attendance at each
meeting of the board of trustees except that each member of the board of
trustees  of  the  Westchester  joint  water  works shall be entitled to
receive the sum of up to [one] TWO hundred dollars. Prior to the  opera-
tion  of a system under this act said compensation shall be added to the
cost of acquisition thereof.  After the commencement of the operation of
such a system said compensation shall be chargeable to the cost of oper-
ation thereof.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
