AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to exception of
  historical  motor  vehicles from the metropolitan commuter transporta-
  tion district supplement registration fee

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Section 499-a of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by
section 1 of part B of chapter 25 of the laws of  2009,  is  amended  to
read as follows:
  S  499-a.  Metropolitan  commuter transportation district supplemental
registration fee. Registrants  residing  in  the  metropolitan  commuter
transportation  district  shall  upon  the  registration or renewal of a
motor vehicle, EXCEPT A HISTORICAL MOTOR VEHICLE AS DEFINED IN  SCHEDULE
G  OF  SUBDIVISION  SEVEN  OF SECTION FOUR HUNDRED ONE OF THIS TITLE, be
charged a supplemental registration fee to be paid to  the  commissioner
or his or her agent in accordance with the provisions of this article.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
