GOTTFRIED -- read once and referred to the Committee on Labor AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to the reduction of unemploy- ment benefits THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 600 of the labor law, as added by chapter 793 of the laws of 1963, is amended to read as follows: 2. Application. The reduction shall apply only to benefits which when paid will be chargeable to the account of the employer who provided the pension or retirement benefit, AND THE REDUCTION SHALL NOT APPLY TO BENEFITS WHICH WHEN PAID WILL BE CHARGEABLE TO THE ACCOUNT HELD BY MULTIPLE EMPLOYERS WHO PROVIDED THE PENSION OR RETIREMENT BENEFIT. S 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law and shall apply to benefits payable on or after that date.
