AN ACT to amend chapter 397 of the laws of 1996, relating to authorizing
  the town of Islip to lease certain lands to a business corporation, in
  relation to the lease term

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 1 of chapter 397 of the laws  of
1996,  relating  to authorizing the town of Islip to lease certain lands
to a business corporation, is amended to read as follows:
  (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of any other  general,  special  or
local law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the town of Islip, in the
county of Suffolk, is hereby authorized and empowered to lease the lands
hereinafter  described  for  up  to  [thirty] FIFTY years, to a business
corporation for such consideration for fair market value and  upon  such
terms, conditions and provisions as the town board in its discretion may
deem proper.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
