S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 10041 I N A S S E M B L Y June 10, 2014 ___________ Introduced by COMMITTEE ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. Lupardo) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Mental Health AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law, in relation to the community mental health support and workforce reinvestment program THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 41.55 of the mental hygiene law is amended by adding a new subdivision (a-1) to read as follows: (A-1) SUMS OF MONEY ALLOCATED FOR PURPOSES OF THIS ARTICLE SHALL BE DETERMINED CONSISTENT WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 43.01 OF THIS TITLE AND REDUCED BY A FACTOR DETERMINED AS THE VACANCY RATE FOR THE STATE OPERATED IN-PATIENT PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL BED CENSUS FROM THE MOST RECENT YEAR AVAILABLE. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that the amend- ments to section 41.55 of the mental hygiene law made by section one of this act shall not affect the repeal of such section and shall be deemed repealed therewith.
