AN  ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to requiring a
  licensee's residential address to be printed on his  or  her  driver's
  license

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 504 of the vehicle and traffic law  is  amended  by
adding a new subdivision 4 to read as follows:
  4.  THE  COMMISSIONER  SHALL  REQUIRE  THAT EVERY LICENSE ISSUED TO AN
APPLICANT INDICATE THE APPLICANT'S CURRENT RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS IN  ADDI-
TION  TO ANY POST OFFICE BOX ADDRESS INDICATED. IN THE EVENT OF A CHANGE
OF RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS, IT SHALL BE THE DUTY OF THE LICENSEE  TO  NOTIFY
THE  COMMISSIONER  OF SUCH CHANGE PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SUBDIVI-
SION FIVE OF SECTION FIVE HUNDRED FIVE OF THIS ARTICLE.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
have become a law.
