CROUCH, DUPREY, FINCH, JORDAN, McDO- NOUGH, McLAUGHLIN, PALMESANO, RAIA, SALADINO, THIELE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Mental Health AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law, in relation to prohibiting the dissemination of certain personal information THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The mental hygiene law is amended by adding a new section 7.14 to read as follows: S 7.14 PROHIBIT DISSEMINATION OF CERTAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION. PERSONAL INFORMATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NAMES, ADDRESSES, CHILDREN AND BANK ACCOUNTS, SHALL NOT BE DISSEMINATED OR MADE AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW WHEN SUCH INFORMATION RELATES TO A PETITION FOR GUAR- DIANSHIP. S 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
