  printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern-
  ment Operations

AN ACT to amend the legislative  law,  in  relation  to  requiring  that
  member floor votes be made available online

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The legislative law is amended by adding a new section 54-c
to read as follows:
  S 54-C. VOTES TO BE POSTED ONLINE. ALL VOTES TAKEN ON THE FLOOR OF THE
SENATE OR ASSEMBLY SHALL BE LISTED ON EACH MEMBER'S PAGE ON THE OFFICIAL
WEBSITE OF THEIR RESPECTIVE HOUSES WITHIN TWENTY-FOUR HOURS OF THE VOTE.
SUCH LISTING SHALL INCLUDE THE BILL NUMBER, DATE OF VOTE, THE SUMMARY OF
THE LEGISLATION FROM THE LEGISLATIVE RETRIEVAL SYSTEM AND  THE  MEMBER'S
VOTE  LISTED  AS  YES OR NO. SUCH LISTING SHALL BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AS
"MEMBER'S VOTING RECORD" ON THE MEMBER'S PAGE OF THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF
THEIR RESPECTIVE HOUSE.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
it shall have become a law.
