AN ACT to authorize the commissioner of general services to sell and
convey certain state lands in the borough of Manhattan, county of New
York to be used for a multi-service center to encourage local economic
development, social services, education and housing
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The commissioner of general services is hereby authorized
and empowered to sell and convey to Acacia Network, a not-for-profit
corporation organized and existing under the laws of the state of New
York, 128 East 112th Street Manhattan, New York, including lands and
improvements thereof generally bounded and described as:
All the tract of land known as 128 East 112th Street, located in
section 6, block 163, lot 62, in the borough of Manhattan, city, county
and state of New York.
S 2. The time and terms and conditions, including consideration, of
this conveyance, shall be determined by the commissioner of general
services. Such transfer and conveyance shall be to advance some public
purpose to be specified in the contract impending such transfer and
conveyance.
S 3. The description in section one of this act of the lands to be
conveyed is not intended to be a legal description, but is intended only
to identify the premises to be conveyed. As a condition of purchase
Acacia Network shall submit to the commissioner of general services for
approval an accurate survey and description of the lands generally
described in section one of this act, which may be used in the convey-
ance thereof.
S 4. The commissioner of general services shall not grant the afore-
said land unless application is made therefore by Acacia Network, within
one year after the effective date of this act.
S 5. Any lands including improvements thereon conveyed pursuant to
this act shall be used as a multi-service center to encourage local

economic development, social services, education and housing; provided,
however, that the land authorized to be conveyed by this act, after such
conveyance, shall revert to the state if such land shall cease to be
used by Acacia Network for the purposes provided in this section.
S 6. This act shall take effect immediately.
