AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
  allowing the use of rifles for hunting in Rockland county

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
of the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 231 of  the
laws of 2012, is amended to read as follows:
 (i) The counties of      Deer, the first Monday  Pistol, shotgun,
  Allegany, Cattaraugus,  after November 15       muzzle loading
  Cayuga, Chautauqua      through first Tuesday   firearm, rifle or
  except that portion     after December 7        long bow only
  of the county north
  of route 20, Chemung,
  Chenango, Herkimer,
  Madison,
  Montgomery, Oneida,
  Oswego, Otsego,
  ROCKLAND,
  Schoharie, Schuyler,
  Steuben, Tioga,
  Wyoming and Yates
  and that portion of
  the county of
  Broome east of the
  Susquehanna river
  S  2.  Item  (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of
the environmental conservation law, as separately amended by chapter 441
of the laws of 2009 and chapter 231 of the laws of 2012, is  amended  to
read as follows:

  S  3.  Item  (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of
the environmental conservation law, as amended by  chapter  600  of  the
laws of 2005, is amended to read as follows:
(i) The counties of       Deer and bear, the      Pistol, shotgun,
  Allegany, Cattaraugus,  first Monday after      muzzle loading
  Chenango, Herkimer,     November 15 through     firearm, rifle or
  Montgomery, Oneida,     first Tuesday after     long bow only
  Oswego, Otsego,         December 7
  ROCKLAND,
  Schoharie and Tioga
  and that portion
  of the county
  of Broome east of the
  Susquehanna river
  S  4. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that the amend-
ments to item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907  of
the environmental conservation law made by section one of this act shall
be  subject  to  the  expiration  and reversion of such item pursuant to
chapter 321 and section 3 of  chapter  326  of  the  laws  of  2011,  as
amended,  when  upon such date the provisions of section two of this act
shall take effect; and provided further that the amendments to item  (i)
of  paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of the environmental
conservation law made by section two of this act shall be subject to the
expiration and reversion of such paragraph pursuant  to  section  13  of
chapter  600  of  the  laws of 1993, as amended, when upon such date the
provisions of section three of this act shall take effect.
