FAHY, ENGLEBRIGHT -- (at request of the Depart- ment of Environmental Conservation) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to extending the authority of the department of environmental conserva- tion to manage hickory shad THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph i of subdivision 1 of section 13-0339-a of the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 157 of the laws of 2014, is amended to read as follows: i. hickory shad (Alosa mediocris) until December thirty-first, two thousand [sixteen] NINETEEN. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14167-01-6
