AN ACT to amend the insurance law, in relation  to  mandating  insurance
  companies  to make contract years and plan years identical in policies
  of health insurance

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Subsection  (c)  of  section 3216 of the insurance law is
amended by adding a new paragraph 15 to read as follows:
  (15) THE CONTRACT YEAR AND PLAN YEAR IN POLICIES OF  HEALTH  INSURANCE
SHALL BE IDENTICAL.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
