AN ACT making an appropriation to the New York  city  housing  authority
  for the expenses of such authority

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The sum of thirty-five million dollars ($35,000,000), or so
much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the New York
city housing authority out of any moneys in the state  treasury  in  the
general  fund  to the credit of the state purposes account not otherwise
appropriated,  seventeen   million   five   hundred   thousand   dollars
($17,500,000)  of  which shall be available for the two thousand sixteen
-- two thousand seventeen state fiscal year and seventeen  million  five
hundred  thousand  dollars ($17,500,000) of which shall be available for
the two thousand seventeen -- two thousand eighteen state  fiscal  year,
to  assure  that  adequate services be provided to the residents of such
authority, including maintenance and operation  of  authority  buildings
and  housing  units.    Such  moneys  shall  be payable on the audit and
warrant of the comptroller on vouchers certified or approved by the  New
York city housing authority in the manner prescribed by law.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
