AN ACT to amend the state law, in relation to designating the  Langhein-
  rich Fossil Quarry as the home of the New York state fossil

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 83 of the state law, as added by chapter 279 of the
laws of 1984, is amended to read as follows:
  S 83. State fossil. The  Eurypterus  remipes  shall  be  the  official
fossil  of  the  state  of  New York, AND THE LANGHEINRICH FOSSIL QUARRY
SHALL BE THE OFFICIAL HOME OF THE NEW YORK STATE FOSSIL.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
