AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to transfer credit

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1.  The education law is amended by adding a new section  3102
to read as follows:
  S  3102.  TRANSFER CREDIT. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW,
THE SCHOOL AUTHORITIES OF EACH SCHOOL DISTRICT AND EACH BOARD OF COOPER-
ATIVE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES SHALL RECOGNIZE AND CREDIT EACH TEACHER  WITH
TRANSFER CREDIT ON A UNIFORM AND CONSISTENT BASIS.
  S  2.  This act shall take effect on the first of July next succeeding
the date on which it shall have become a law.
