ABINANTI, MAYER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to pension costs of the New York Health Care Corporations established under article 10-C of such law THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The public authorities law is amended by adding a new section 3501 to read as follows: S 3501. DETERMINATION OF PENSION COSTS. THE NEW YORK STATE COMPTROLLER SHALL SET THE TOTAL PENSION COSTS FOR EACH OF THE NEW YORK HEALTH CARE CORPORATIONS ESTABLISHED UNDER THIS ARTICLE AT AN AMOUNT NO HIGHER THAN THE PENSION COSTS CALCULATED BASED ON THE EMPLOYMENT DATA OF THAT HEALTH CARE CORPORATION AND PENSION CONTRIBUTION RATES IN THE BASE YEAR UTILIZED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO ESTABLISH THE MEDICAID INPATIENT HOSPITAL RATES FOR THAT FISCAL YEAR.
