OAKS, KOLB, FINCH, HAWLEY, MONTESANO, WALTER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to environmental conservation officers THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subdivision 1 of section 209-q of the general municipal law is amended by adding a new subparagraph (v) to read as follows: (V) THE HOLDER HAS COMPLETED THE BASIC SCHOOL FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION OFFICERS AS A SWORN MEMBER OF THE DIVISION OF LAW ENFORCE- MENT IN THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD05896-01-5
