AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to requiring the
  metropolitan transportation authority to provide an online alternative
  to refilling metrocards and authority bus passes

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 1266 of the public authorities law  is  amended  by
adding a new subdivision 19 to read as follows:
  19.  NOTWITHSTANDING  ANY  OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, THE AUTHORITY SHALL
ESTABLISH AND IMPLEMENT A WAY FOR A PERSON  TO  REFILL  THE  BALANCE  ON
METROCARDS AND AUTHORITY BUS PASSES ONLINE.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
