DenDEKKER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Election Law AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to requiring the board of elections to maintain a database of all campaign finance disclosure report filers and to provide a means to search such database for active filers THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The election law is amended by adding a new section 14-123 to read as follows: S 14-123. DATABASE OF CAMPAIGN FINANCE DISCLOSURE REPORT FILERS. THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS SHALL MAINTAIN A DATABASE OF ALL CAMPAIGN FINANCE DISCLOSURE REPORT FILERS ON ITS WEBSITE. THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS SHALL ESTABLISH A MEANS TO LIMIT A SEARCH OF SUCH DATABASE TO DISPLAY ACTIVE FILERS ONLY. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that effective immediately, the addition and/or repeal of any rule or regu- lation necessary for the implementation of this act on its effective date are authorized and directed to be made and completed on or before such effective date.
