AN ACT making an appropriation to the office for  people  with  develop-
  mental  disabilities  for the purpose of increasing residential treat-
  ment facilities

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1. The sum of fifty million dollars ($50,000,000), or so much
thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated to  the  office  for
people  with  developmental  disabilities out of any moneys in the state
treasury in the general fund, not otherwise appropriated, and made imme-
diately available to assist the office  for  people  with  developmental
disabilities  with  the  development and operation of programs, supports
and services for  new  residential  opportunities  throughout  New  York
state.  Such funding shall supplement the monies appropriated by chapter
53 of the laws of 2013 to the office for people with developmental disa-
bilities and shall be subject to the same conditions and requirements as
stipulated  in such chapter, including sub-allocations to the department
of health for the state's medical assistance program.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
