AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to a study by superinten-
  dents to determine the job market need of their district

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The education law is amended by adding a new section 3003-a
to read as follows:
  S 3003-A. STUDY BY DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENTS. EACH DISTRICT SUPERINTEN-
DENT SHALL STUDY THE JOB MARKET NEED OF THEIR DISTRICT AND REPORT TO THE
BOARD  OF  EDUCATION  WITHIN  ONE  YEAR  OF  THE  EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS
SECTION, ON HOW THEIR SCHOOLS' CURRICULUMS CAN BE ADJUSTED  TO  INCORPO-
RATE COURSES TO ACCOMMODATE FOR SUCH NEED.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
