  printed to be committed to the Committee on Elections

AN ACT to amend the election law, in  relation  to  prohibiting  certain
  loans to be made to candidates or political committees

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision 6 of section 14-114  of  the  election  law  is
amended by adding a new paragraph c to read as follows:
  C.  REGISTERED  LOBBYIST, POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEES AND LABOR UNIONS
ARE PROHIBITED FROM MAKING LOANS TO CANDIDATES OR POLITICAL COMMITTEES.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

AN  ACT  to  amend  the election law, in relation to prohibiting certain
  loans to be made to candidates or political committees

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.  Subdivision  6  of  section 14-114 of the election law is
amended by adding a new paragraph c to read as follows:
  C. LOBBYISTS, AS DEFINED BY SUBDIVISION A  OF  SECTION  ONE-C  OF  THE
LEGISLATIVE  LAW  OR  BY  SUBDIVISION A OF SECTION 3-211 OF THE NEW YORK
CITY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEES, LABOR UNIONS, AND
ANY PERSON WHO HAS REGISTERED WITH THE STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS PURSUANT
TO PARAGRAPH A OF SUBDIVISION THREE OF SECTION 14-107  OF  THIS  ARTICLE
ARE PROHIBITED FROM MAKING LOANS TO CANDIDATES OR POLITICAL COMMITTEES.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
