S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 10257 I N A S S E M B L Y May 18, 2016 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. SCHIMMINGER -- (at request of the Empire State Development) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Economic Development AN ACT to amend the urban development corporation act, in relation to the restore New York's communities initiative THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subdivision 1 of section 16-n of section 1 of chapter 174 of the laws of 1968 constituting the urban development corporation act, as added by section 2 of part C-2 of chapter 109 of the laws of 2006, is amended to read as follows: (b) For the purposes of this section "reconstruction" shall mean the construction of a new building which is similar in architecture[,] AND size [and purpose] to a previously existing building at such location. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14184-01-6
