Requires that prior to the approval of any application for a payment in lieu of taxes agreement by the town of Hempstead industrial development agency, the agency shall notify certain school boards and consult with certain district superintendents and obtain the acknowledgment of the school boards.

 AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation  to  payments  in
   lieu  of  taxes  for  projects  acknowledged  by the town of Hempstead
   industrial development agency
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1.  Section  905  of  the general municipal law is amended by
 adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows:
   5. PRIOR TO THE APPROVAL OF ANY APPLICATION FOR A PILOT  AGREEMENT  BY
 THE  AGENCY,  THE  AGENCY  SHALL NOTIFY THE SCHOOL BOARD AND CONSULT THE
 DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT OF EACH SCHOOL DISTRICT WHERE THE  PROJECT  THAT
 IS  THE  SUBJECT  OF  SUCH  PILOT  AGREEMENT WOULD BE LOCATED AND OBTAIN
 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FROM EACH SCHOOL BOARD TO  BE  IMPACTED  BY  SUCH  PILOT
 AGREEMENT.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
