 AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to reducing international
   baccalaureate exam fees the  same  amount  as  reductions  in  advance
   placement exam fees
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Section 305 of the education law is amended by adding a new
 subdivision 57 to read as follows:
   57. (A) THE COMMISSIONER SHALL INCLUDE A FEE  REDUCTION  FOR  INTERNA-
 TIONAL  BACCALAUREATE  EXAMS IN ANY FEE WAIVER PROGRAM WHICH REDUCES THE
 ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAM FEE FOR LOW-INCOME STUDENTS. SUCH  INTERNATIONAL
 BACCALAUREATE  EXAM  FEE  REDUCTION  SHALL  BE BY THE SAME AMOUNT AS THE
 ADVANCED PLACEMENT FEE REDUCTION.
   (B) THE LEGISLATURE SHALL APPROPRIATE STATE MONIES AS MAY BE NECESSARY
 TO IMPLEMENT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBDIVISION.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
