 AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to licensing  examination
   requirements for licensed master social workers
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subdivision  1  of  section  7704  of  the
 education  law,  as added by chapter 420 of the laws of 2002, is amended
 to read as follows:
   (d) Examination: pass an examination satisfactory to the board and  in
 accordance  with  the commissioner's regulations; AN APPLICANT MAY APPLY
 TO TAKE  SUCH  EXAMINATION  ONCE  COMMENCING  THEIR  FINAL  SEMESTER  OF
 INSTRUCTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH PARAGRAPH (B) OF THIS SUBDIVISION;
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
