 AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to requiring  certain
   information  pertaining to opioid overdose to be made available to the
   public
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. Section 3309 of the public health law is amended by adding
 a new subdivision 7 to read as follows:
   7. A VERSION OF THE  REPORT  REQUIRED  BY  SUBDIVISION  FIVE  OF  THIS
 SECTION  SHALL  BE  MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC AND ONLINE IN AN EASILY
 SEARCHABLE AND VIEWABLE FORMAT THAT INCLUDES, AT A MINIMUM, THE  FOLLOW-
 ING INFORMATION:
   (A)  INFORMATION  ON  OPIOID  OVERDOSE  DEATHS, INCLUDING AGE, GENDER,
 ETHNICITY, AND COUNTY OF ORIGIN;
   (B) DATA SEPARATING OUT, TO THE MOST ACCURATE DEGREE POSSIBLE,  DEATHS
 CAUSED  BY  PRESCRIPTION OPIOIDS, HEROIN, FENTANYL, AND OTHER OPIOIDS AS
 DETERMINED BY THE COMMISSIONER;
   (C) DATA ON EMERGENCY ROOM UTILIZATION FOR  THE  TREATMENT  OF  OPIOID
 OVERDOSE;
   (D) DATA ON UTILIZATION OF PRE-HOSPITAL SERVICES;
   (E) DATA ON UTILIZATION OF OPIOID ANTAGONISTS;
   (F) HISTORICAL DATA, AS AVAILABLE, GOING BACK AT LEAST FIVE YEARS; AND
   (G)  ANY  OTHER  INFORMATION NECESSARY TO ASCERTAIN THE SUCCESS OF THE
 PROGRAM AND WAYS TO FURTHER REDUCE OVERDOSES.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
