RAIA, MONTESANO, GRAF, FINCH -- Multi-Sponsored by -- M. of A. LUPINACCI, McDONOUGH, THIELE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation to the power of harbor masters and bay constables to arrest on warrants pursuant to their special duties THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 2.20 of the criminal procedure law is amended by adding a new paragraph (k) to read as follows: (K) HARBOR MASTERS AND BAY CONSTABLES HAVE THE POWER TO ARREST ON WARRANTS PURSUANT TO THEIR SPECIAL DUTIES WITHIN THEIR GEOGRAPHICAL AREA OF EMPLOYMENT. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD06873-01-7
