 AN  ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law and the administrative code
   of the city of New York, in relation to parking regulations
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1.  The  vehicle  and  traffic law is amended by adding a new
 section 1205 to read as follows:
   § 1205. SUSPENSION OF ALTERNATE SIDE OF THE  STREET  PARKING  LAWS  OR
 RULES.  1.  WHEN  PARKING IS PROHIBITED PURSUANT TO AN ALTERNATE SIDE OF
 THE STREET PARKING LAW, ORDINANCE, ORDER, RULE OR REGULATION,  UPON  THE
 ISSUANCE  OF  A  FILM  PERMIT  BY  A  MUNICIPALITY THAT REQUIRES PARKING
 RESTRICTIONS, SUCH MUNICIPAL ISSUING AUTHORITY SHALL SUBMIT  A  COPY  OF
 THE  PERMIT  TO THE MUNICIPAL POLICING AUTHORITY AND/OR PARKING ENFORCE-
 MENT. SUCH PERMIT SHALL INCLUDE THE NAMES OF ALL STREETS ON WHICH  FILM-
 ING AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS WILL OCCUR, AND THE DATES OF SUCH FILMING.
   2.  UPON  ISSUANCE  OF  A  PERMIT  PURSUANT TO SUBDIVISION ONE OF THIS
 SECTION, THE MUNICIPALITY SHALL SUSPEND ALTERNATE  SIDE  OF  THE  STREET
 PARKING LAWS OR RULES ON ANY OF THE STREETS WITHIN A SIX BLOCK RADIUS OF
 THE STREET ON WHICH FILMING SHALL TAKE PLACE.
   3. THE MUNICIPALITY SHALL TAKE WHATEVER PROCEDURES NECESSARY TO ENSURE
 THAT PEOPLE ARE PROPERLY NOTIFIED OF THE CHANGES IN PARKING PRIOR TO THE
 DATE  SUCH  ALTERNATE  SIDE OF THE STREET PARKING LAW OR RULE SUSPENSION
 TAKES EFFECT.
   § 2. The administrative code of the city of New  York  is  amended  by
 adding a new section 19-163.3 to read as follows:
   §  19-163.3  SUSPENSION OF ALTERNATE SIDE OF THE STREET PARKING RULES.
 1. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC LAW, UPON THE ISSUANCE  OF
 A  FILM  PERMIT  THAT REQUIRES PARKING RESTRICTIONS BY THE NEW YORK CITY
 MAYOR'S OFFICE OF MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT, SUCH OFFICE  SHALL  SUBMIT  A
 COPY  OF  THE  PERMIT  TO  THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. SUCH PERMIT
