RAMOS -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT in relation to authorizing school buses and paratransit vehicles types A(I) and A(II) used solely for the transportation of children or people with disabilities to travel on parkways THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of general, special or local law, rule or regulation to the contrary, school buses and para- transit vehicles types A(I) and A(II) used solely for the transportation of children or people with disabilities shall be authorized to travel on all parkways, regardless of limitations on commercial traffic on such parkways. ยง 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD08844-01-7
