S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 7794 2017-2018 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y May 15, 2017 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. D'URSO -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT authorizing the town of North Hempstead, county of Nassau to change the date of the election for district commissioners for the year two thousand seventeen THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 211 of the town law, in the town of North Hempstead, county of Nassau, the election for district commissioners for the Great Neck Water Pollution Control District in the year two thousand seventeen shall be held on Tuesday, December fifth. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD11489-02-7

Notwithstanding the provisions of section 211 of the town law, in the county of Nassau, in the year two thousand seventeen any special district may, by local option, move the special district election from the second Tuesday in December to Tuesday, December fifth. § 2.
