AN ACT to amend the education law and the social services law, in
relation to the licensure of dietitians and nutritionists; and repeal-
ing certain provisions of the education law relating thereto

lature finds that the application of scientific knowledge relating to

the monitoring and evaluation of outcomes directly related to the nutri-
tion care process. Therefore, it is hereby declared to be the purpose of
this act to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public by
providing for the licensure and regulation of the activities of persons
engaged in the practice of dietetics and nutrition.
