 AN ACT to amend the village law and the public officers law, in relation
   to the residency of certain officers of the village of  Schuylerville,
   county of Saratoga
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivisions 24 and 25 of section 3-300 of the village law,
 as added by chapter 140 of the laws of 2014,  are  amended  to  read  as
 follows:
   24. Notwithstanding the provisions of this chapter or any other gener-
 al law, local law, ordinance, or special act, the village board of trus-
 tees  of the incorporated [village] VILLAGES of SCHUYLERVILLE AND Victo-
 ry, Saratoga county,  may,  by  resolution,  provide  that  the  village
 clerk-treasurer  of the [village] VILLAGES of SCHUYLERVILLE AND Victory,
 Saratoga county, need not be a resident of such [village] VILLAGES,  but
 must be a resident of the county of Saratoga, state of New York, or of a
 county which adjoins the county of Saratoga.
   25. Notwithstanding the provisions of this chapter or any other gener-
 al law, local law, ordinance, or special act, the village board of trus-
 tees  of the incorporated [village] VILLAGES of SCHUYLERVILLE AND Victo-
 ry, Saratoga  county,  may,  by  resolution,  provide  that  the  deputy
 clerk-treasurer  of the [village] VILLAGES of SCHUYLERVILLE AND Victory,
 Saratoga county, need not be a resident of such [village] VILLAGES,  but
 must be a resident of the county of Saratoga, state of New York, or of a
 county which adjoins the county of Saratoga.
   §  2.  Subdivisions 62 and 63 of section 3 of the public officers law,
 as added by chapter 140 of the laws of 2014,  are  amended  to  read  as
 follows:
   62.  In the [village] VILLAGES of SCHUYLERVILLE AND Victory, county of
 Saratoga, the provisions of this section requiring  a  person  to  be  a
 
  EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                       [ ] is old law to be omitted.
